Connections between two people are the foundation to creating any of my designs. The amazing story of self-perception is intoxicating enough to produce the most intense creative flow. WE are constantly communicating ideas of ourselves through our work, our clothing, the music we gravitate towards, the relationships we want to build, and anything that allows us to be heard. The artistic goal seems to be "uniqueness" when, in truth, we are already unique. The journey for me is about celebrating the Self and, within this celebration, realizing the most amazing gifts of mutual respect, vulnerability, confidence, and trust.

Magic is created when your intention is to allow a space for someone to experience no limitation on how they look or could look. What most individuals view as flaws are actually the unique imprints of their own beauty. Most of us will try to hide it and work against it, but as with everything, what you resist will persist. So, working with ones own unique imprints allows endless possibilities for design.

Versatility is the most unique language and strongest tool. It truly enables me to walk into any situation and be a blank canvas, creating an image that is both functional and beautiful. Knowledge comes with the opportunity to expose yourself to many different forms of technique and methodology. Where we grow as artists is in allowing ourselves to fuse what works for us and the situation or form we are trying to achieve.

Exploration is the language of openness and with it comes constant evolution of not only you but also your creativity and passion.

Expectations can be, and usually are, our worst enemy. They traditionally create a hostile environment for not only you but for everyone involved in a design. Recognizing your own expectations and the persons in front of you can actually be an amazing tool to communicate a colorful truth of working with what you have in front of you. Human beings are not one-dimensional and neither is creative expression, so exploring different levels free of expectations can result in images you never felt or thought were possible.

Self-expression is an intimidating word, because of our own delusions of grandeur. The simplest enhancement in shape, color, colors, texture, length can be the most profound shift in a way a person sees themselves, creating a whole new experience of self image and exploration. "Drastic" is usually just that, when your eyes become so focused on a color or a cut it completely breaks a flow. Creating unity with both coloring and cutting is a priority for me. After all, one can't flow without the other. They both rely on each other exactly like the map of yin-yang.
